What is Asteroid astrology?
Asteroid astrology is a relatively recent practice in the extremely ancient history of astrology. Whether in Vedic or Hellenistic (Western) astrology, few astrologers today are familiar or use the major asteroids known in the preparation of their astral themes.
Among the hundreds thousands asteroids classified since Ceres was first discovered by Italian priest, astronomer and mathematician Giuseppe Piazzi in 1801 on January 1, 1801, their total mass should roughly be equivalent to that of our moon.
Today, some asteroids which were considered in the nineteenth century as planets are now relegated to the rank of asteroids. This is also the case for Ceres, today considered as a dwarf planet. Though it was the first ever asteroid to be discovered, it never made it to the rank of planet.
With the additional knowledge and discoveries made possible by observations with Earth based telescopes, the Hubble telescope and Nasa and ESA missions, it is a challenge today for space enthusiasts to agree with the most recent official classification which lists the bodies of the solar system considered as planets, dwarf planets or asteroids.
